From the world's highest post office in Hikkim to the fossil-rich villages of Langza, every turn reveals a new wonder. Experience starry skies, ancient cultures, and the warm hospitality of the Spitian people.
Start from Shimla, drive along the Sutlej river through Kufri, Narkanda and Rampur. Reach Kalpa by evening, famous for its apple orchards and views of Kinner Kailash. Overnight in Kalpa.
Enter the Spiti region via the Indo-Tibet highway. Visit Nako Lake and Tabo Monastery (Ajanta of the Himalayas). Continue to Dhankar, the ancient capital perched on a cliff. Overnight near Dhankar/Lhalung.
Drive to Mudh village in Pin Valley National Park, home to the rare snow leopard. Walk through the village and visit Kungri Monastery. Return and reach Kaza, the sub-divisional headquarters of Spiti. Overnight in Kaza.
Visit the magnificent Key Monastery and interact with monks. Drive to Kibber village and cross the Chicham bridge, one of Asia's highest. Explore the village, return to Kaza for a hot meal and local market walk.
Visit Hikkim post office (send a postcard!), Komic (world's highest village with a monastery), and Langza (fossil hunting). Enjoy lunch with a local family. Return to Kaza for an evening at leisure.
Drive over Kunzum Pass (4,590m) to Chandratal, the crescent moon lake. Set up camp near the lake, enjoy a short hike around the shore. Overnight in camps under a blanket of stars.
Wake up to a magical sunrise at the lake. Post breakfast, drive towards Manali via Batal and Atal Tunnel. Reach Manali by evening. Overnight in hotel.
Explore Manali at your own pace: visit Hadimba Temple, Old Manali cafes, or simply relax by the Beas river. Overnight in Manali.
After breakfast, depart for your onward destination. (Optional drop to Chandigarh/Delhi by Volvo can be arranged). Tour ends with unforgettable memories of Spiti.
